Referrals

We welcome referrals from Local Authorities (via the framework referral process) and Hampshire schools.

Please note that we do not accept referrals directly from parents or carers.
If you are a parent or carer, please contact your child’s school or Local Authority EHC Coordinator in the first instance.

However, we are always happy to have an informal discussion—please feel free to contact us at info@theplan-b.org.

Referral Process

Local Authorities

Referrals should be submitted through the open framework process.

Schools

Step 1 – Initial Contact
Please get in touch to discuss your student’s needs:

Step 2 – Information Sharing
Plan B will provide:

Service Delivery details
Costings
A referral form

We will also request relevant supporting documentation.

Step 3 – Assessment
Our team will review the information and discuss suitable options for your student.

Step 4 – Visit / Taster Session
A visit to Plan B HQ will be arranged. This includes:

The student
A parent/carer
A trusted member of school staff (if appropriate)

Step 5 – Placement Decision
If a placement is appropriate, Plan B will liaise with the school to progress commissioning and complete necessary paperwork.

Step 6 – Next Steps
Once confirmed, we will contact the parent/carer to discuss onboarding and next steps.
