The Plan B Sea School is an RYA Recognised training centre for RYA Theory Courses.  

 

The courses we currently run are:

 

• RYA Essential Navigation and Seamanship

• RYA Day Skipper Theory

• RYA Coastal Skipper/Yachtmaster Theory

• RYA Diesel Engine

 

We will be offering RYA Practical Courses in Spring 2023

 

Our large training room is ideal for up to 12 student at our shore base:  

40-42 Park Street, Gosport, Hants PO12 4UH

 

Our full time instructor has been working with the RYA Yachtmaster scheme for over 25 years and is dedicated to helping trainees understand the syllabus in the classroom setting and also its practical application aboard.

 

We keep group sizes on a 6:1 ratio so all students can get the support they require.

The Plan B Sea School is part of The Plan B AP Community Interest Company.  This  area of our organisation is an ‘Alternative provider of vocational education’. 

 

Working with 11-24 year olds from Hampshire and surrounding South East areas of the UK.  The organisation supports young adults who are, for whatever reason, unable to engage with mainstream education. To do this we use a range of marine industry skills including boatbuilding in our onsite workshop.  Our beneficiaries can also achieve RYA qualifications including shore based and practical to give them a route to employment like no other.
